Once again in 2014 we can offer you a superb collection of show jumping stallions. We're delighted to see the arrival of Tolan R foals on the ground. This year Mermus R's oldest stock, in Ireland, are four years old and will be competing in young horses classes. Peter Pan foals are proving very popular in the sales ring making a good return for breeders.
Galway Bay Stud on the west coast of Ireland the home of Mermus R Keur, Peter Pan and Tolan R. We specialise in breeding and supplying world class sport horses. Our main goal is to put Irish horses back on the international scene through the use of world class stallions, genetics and to have an Irish product that is in demand worldwide. Our aim is to be a driving force on marketing the produce of our stallions for the breeder and assist them in getting their due reward.
MERMUS R KEUR was awarded the Keur Predicate for his outstanding contribution to breeding by the KWPN in 2010. He was used to promote their stud book at the annual stallion show in the Netherlands. The KWPN stud book are number 1 in the world for showjumping and dressage horses.
This very handsome, long-legged, black stallion is a son of Namelus R. Tolan R has the same granddam as Mermus R, Wender R, and Odermus R. Two of Stal Roelofs’ very influential performance lines come together in the Tolan R's pedigree: the Dermie-line of Toys R Us, Zandigo, and Belle de Jour and the renowned Melusiena-line. Tolan R’s grandsire Aramis Z jumped at a high level prior to becoming a breeding stallion. Joost and Abgar xx blood graces both sides of Tolan R’s pedigree.
PETER PAN is an extremely exciting stallion due to his excellent performance results, sought after pedigree and unbelievable progeny! A highly successful performer in his own right, he competed at the hightst levels under the riders Neal Fearon (Ireland) and Alessia Marioni (Italy) (CS105*). They started in many competitions in a career that spanned 15 years, they won at Grand Prix and Nations Cup level and started in heavy competitions such as Aachen and Dublin.
